2nd May
Iron Man (Wii & DS) - Sega It’s summer and that means a batch of movie-tie ins to follow. Iron Man is looking to be a decent representation of the great looking movie. Although I’m not holding out too much for the game, I’m hoping it will stand out from the rest of the rubbish that’s bound to come through in the coming months. Anyway, stick around Nintencast when we’ll have the full review on both versions sometime next week.
9th May
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (DS) - Capcom “Hold It!” Where the hell is Phoenix Wright 3 in Europe? Oh that’s right, Capcom decided it would be best to release the forth game before the third. Crazy, I know, but so is the superb story of the game. Having completed the USA version of the game, I can assure you the touch screen controls, DS specific features are all in perfect harmony. Although defending clients in a court-room may sound as dull as a bag of nails, I can tell you know, it is most certainly not the case. Check out Myles’ preview here
Boom Blox (Wii) - EA Probably the most colourful game on the Wii will be out sometime next week and it’s looking pretty sweet. Not only does it look fun and pleasing to the eye, you can sure it’s in safe hands as legendary film director Steven Spielberg, is the one who’s keeping a very keen eye over the entire project as the game’s director. You can check out our review on the game just after launch.
Speed Racer (Wii) - Warner Bros. Possibly the worst combination currently on the Wii; a PlayStation 2 port and a movie tie-in. Although, from the screenshots released for the game, F-Zero always enters my mind, so hopefully that’s a good thing. Again, I’m hoping that this port turns out to be decent as it certainly looks an interesting title to play. Check back soon for the review.
23rd May
Battle of the Bands (Wii) - THQ Battle of the Bands is basically a toned down of Rock Band exclusive for the Wii, and it’s looking to be a great family game. Not too complicated (nor as expensive) and certainly more accessible than either Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Although the game doesn’t feature licensed records, the tunes in the game promises to be as funky as ever with over 150 different songs included in the final game. Whatever the situation is with Battle of the Bands, we at Nintencast are looking forward to it. We’ll have the full review on it soon.

11th April
Mario Kart Wii (Wii) Yes, Mario Kart Wii will be arriving in a few weeks (at the time of writing) and are we looking forward to it, or what! 32 tracks, 12 player online modes, bikes and karts, stunts and MORE! Mario Kart Wii will surely be just as good as what the early reviews are making out to be. Check back soon for our hands on play test, but for now check out our preview, here
Assassins Creed DS - Ubisoft Assassins Creed DS was originally meant to launch in March, but got pushed back to April. Assassins Creed, released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2007, down-sizes and heads DS-wards, except this time it’s in the form of a prequel. You’ll transverse across the Holy Land during 1190AD in the hope of finding the sacred object; the Chalice. Set on a 2D playing field, but using lush 3D graphics, Assassins Creed will surely please fans both new and old alike.
25th April
Wii Fit (Wii) Nintendo has created yet another peripheral for the Nintendo Wii, except this time it’s a little more high-tech compared to the plastic shell that was the Wii Zapper. Wii Fit has you performing all sorts of sporty activities on a white balance board in the hope of losing some of those excess pounds… well it will certainly do that seeing as it costs somewhere in the region of £69.99. You can check out our preview here

7h March
Bully: Scholarship Edition - Rockstar (Wii) Athough Bully being another PS2 port, Rockstar have taken the time to improve on what was originally a great formulae. Players will take on the roll of Jimmy Hopkins as he goes around Bullworth Academy taking on several, naughty, missions. Ranging from the more social one such as making friends - the less conventional way - to forming “relationships” with other pupils. With additional content, Wii specific controls and multiplayer, Bully: Scholarship Edition (Wii) will be the definitive version.
Destroy all Humans: Big Willy Unleashed - THQ (Wii) Destroy all Humans is Wii bound and it promises to be another great addition to the wonderfully fanatical series. You play as Crypto who controls the new character, Big Willy. Expect the same crude humour as the past games when the game launches in March. You can read our preview soon.
14th March
No More Heroes - Rising Star (Wii) With the most stylised artwork on the Wii and coming from the same team as Killer 7, you can be sure that No More Heroes will be a very special game. America has taken the game by storm and is getting very good reviews all-round. Hopefully the lack of blood hasn’t affected the overall quality of the game. You can read our preview here.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Nintendo (Wii) The first instalment of the great game series for Wii is finally Euro bound. Players will take part in turn-based strategy battles as they fight through various medieval maps. Combing the great combat that was seen in the Advance Wars series, you can expect same hard, but very rewarding, gameplay seen in no other games. You can read our preview here
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody - Rising Star (Wii) Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is the latest addition to the long running series. Players this time will have to find the 10 magical musical notes to help restore the Goddess to her former glory. Using the Wii remote to replicate the different tools which you’ll have to use during the game, Harvest Moon: MM will surely please fans both new and old.
28th March
Assassins Creed DS - Ubisoft (DS) Assassins Creed, released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2007, down-sizes and heads DS-wards, except this time it’s in the form of a prequel. You’ll transverse across the Holy Land during 1190AD in the hope of finding the sacred object; the Chalice. Set on a 2D playing field, but using lush 3D graphics, Assassins Creed will surely please fans both new and old alike.
Ninja Reflex - EA (Wii & DS) Now, before you think Ninja Reflex is some sort of game where you have to play the role as a ninja where you have to go around killing people with the swing of your Nun chuck (Bad pun), I have some disappointing news; you don’t. Although, you do play as a ninja, but while participating in mini-games with a similar essence to the Mario Party games. Should be good fun when it launches next month.
Worms: A Space Oddity - THQ (Wii) Worms: A Space Oddity is the first Worms game to head to Nintendo’s latest home console. Packed with new crazy weapons, characters and stages expect more manic, classic Worm battles. Hopefully, the lack of any Wi-Fi hasn’t put you off from buying Worms: A Space Oddity.
House of the Dead 2 & 3- Sega (Wii) Yet another light gun arcade game coming to the Wii, but this time, it’s Sega’s horror-survival game, House of the Dead. Both HoD 2 and 3 come packaged in the game meaning the game lasts players long enough to stick at it, but also short enough to motivate players to go back and aim for high scores. If HoD is anything like Resident Evil: UC or Ghost squad, expect another great arcade port sometime this March.
PES 2008 - Konami (Wii) EA’s main rival for the video game football crown, but Konami are focusing more on the gameplay aspect rather than the licensed clubs, music stadiums etc. PES ‘08 gives players the ultimate control scheme with the Wii remote providing almost endless possibilities on winning you match. Log onto Nintendo Wi-Fi connection and play head-to-head with random players from all around the World.
