FAQ / Brawl Upload Area
If you want to know
how to upload either a video, stage or screenshot here's the place
to be. Just skip down the list until you find the section for what
you want to upload and then you're ready to roll.
Uploading Videos -
What you'll need:
- Wii Console
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl (USA or Japanese version)
- SD Card that plugs into the Wii - the same memory card that
plugs into many cameras, mobile phones and PDAs.
- SD Card reader on you computer or something similar. Simply put,
anything that allows you to plug your SD card into you PC.
How to Upload:
Once saved your video, take out your SD card and connect it to
your PC. Open up the SD card folder and you stages will be located
at the below locations:
Japanese version: \private\wii\app\RSBJ\rp\filename.bin
American version: \private\wii\app\RSBE\rp\filename.bin
Send an email to brawl@nintencast.com and make sure you attach the
"filename.bin"ť file to the email, otherwise, nothing can be
uploaded. Subject "Videos"
How to Download:
Find the stage you want to download and click on the "Download"
tab. You will then be prompted to save the file (Internet
Explorer). Do so and the file will download.
Once downloaded, insert your SD card and copy the file to the
below locations:
Japanese version: \private\wii\app\RSBJ\rp\filename.bin
American version: \private\wii\app\RSBE\rp\filename.bin
Turn on Super Smash Brothers and then go to the Vault. Then click
on Replays and then choose to read from the SD card.
Once you've done that, select which video you want to watch and
that's it.
Uploading Stages -
What you'll need:
- Wii Console
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl (USA or Japanese version)
- SD Card that plugs into the Wii - the same memory card that
plugs into many cameras, mobile phones and PDAs.
- SD Card reader on you computer or something similar. Simply put,
anything that allows you to plug your SD card into you PC.
How to Upload:
Once you've finished designing you stage and it's all ready,
simply click OK on the bottom left of your screen. Once done, you
will be given 2 options to choose from to save your stage, these
are: saving directly to your system, and saving to an SD Card. Opt
to save your SD card.
Once saved, take out your SD card and connect it to your PC. Open
up the SD card folder and you stages will be located at the below
locations:
Japanese version: \private\wii\app\RSBJ\st\filename.bin
American version: \private\wii\app\RSBE\st\filename.bin

(Training) or Brawl match.
After all the players participating has chosen their characters,
you'll enter the stage select screen. Click on "Melee Stages".
Once their, click on "Custom Stage".
Once you've entered the "Custom Stage" screen, simply choose
which stage you want to play on.
Uploading Screenshots -
What you'll need:

"filename.bin"ť file to the email, otherwise, nothing can be
uploaded. Subject "screenshots"ť.
How to Download:
Find the image you want to download and click on the "Download"
tab. You will then be prompted to save the file (Internet
Explorer). Do so and the file will download.
Once downloaded, you'll be able to view the image any time on
your PC. |
