FAQ / Brawl Upload Area
Why hasn’t my files
appeared on Nintencast yet?
Please wait. You’re files will be online between 24 - 48 hours of
you sending them to our email.
It’s been more than 48 hours. Where are they?
Although it’s unlikely this will happen, if this is the case, the
chances are we’ve lost the file. We will send you an email asking
for you to re-send the files you want uploaded.
Why can’t I watch the videos online?
Unfortunately, this is not possible yet. Because Super Smash
Brothers Brawl saves all replay videos as .bin files, there is
nothing to convert them yet. Also, the .bin files are merely data
files that can only be read by the Wii. The data in those files
simply tell the game what to display and how. This is why you
can’t view videos online.
Is it possible to have the image files as a .bin file so I can
view them on my Wii?
Sadly, no. This is because when we convert them, the original .bin
files will automatically delete themselves. You can however, copy
the image files to your SD card and view them through the Photo
Chanel on the Wii.
Who rates each piece of media with the star ratings?
Because of certain restrictions, we cannot have users rate each
product (not yet anyway). So to give users a rough indication of
which item to download, Nintencast staff will fairly rate each
piece of media with a simple 5 star rating.
What do the ratings mean?
Half Star = Not worth downloading.
1 Star = Only worth downloading for a laugh.
1 Half Star -=Will only get a chuckle out of it’s quality.
2 Star = Getting better, but still be weary.
2 Half Star = Just below average. May be worth downloading
3 Star = Average at best. Could be good fun.
3 Half Star = Borderline great. Worth downloading.
4 Star = Great download. Great fun to use.
4 Half Star = An almost certain must to download. Fantastic work.
5 Star = A must! Excellent work and will always provide great fun.
How long do Nintencast plan to have the ‘Brawl Upload Area
running?
As long as we see fit. As long as people keep downloading and
submitting, we will keep the page running. Remember though,
Nintencast reserve the right to take it down at anytime without
prior consent.
My media has gone! What happened?
In the very unlikely event of your media missing from our servers,
we will simply ask you for you to re-send the files.
What are these “User Accounts”?
Basically, everyone that uploads ANY type of media will
automatically be made a user account on Nintencast. This will be
the storing place of all files you send us.
I don’t want an account anymore. Can you delete it?
Yes. Just send us an email with the subject header “Account
delete”, along with your username, and we will delete the account
as soon as possible.
Can you delete a certain file?
Yes, again, just send Nintencast an email and we sort it out as
soon as possible.
We’ve made a mistake with the naming of a file. Can we change
it?
Yes. Just let us know that we’ve made a mistake and we will change
the problem as soon as possible.
Is downloading safe?
Yes. We check each and every file with the latest virus scanners
for any problems with a file. Although we do our best to make sure
nothing bad appears on the files, Nintencast cannot be held
responsible for any problems that may arise on your own personal
computer.
A file is not downloading. What’s happened?
This is most likely because a file path is incorrect on our end.
Even though we do our best to make sure each file downloads
perfectly fine, something might slip through the net. If this does
happen, please contact us by email as soon as possible and we’ll
rectify the problem. |
